“Settling, Sweating and Swatting in the Everglades Area”

Time: 7:00 pm til 8:00 pm

Location: Marco Island Historical Museum

Description: Join Patty Huff, local historian and Friends of the Museum of the Everglades Board Member, to explore how life was so challenging in the Everglades area for early pioneers– from fishing, trading with the Seminoles up through the time Barron Collier established a company town in Everglades City. In conjunction with the Smithsonian’s “Way We Worked” exhibition. Event will start at 7pm and is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Florida Humanities Council.
