Tales of Indian Spring Cemetery: A Hauntingly Historical Walking Tour
Time: 6:00 pm til 8:00 pm
Location: 9500 Indian Spring Road Punta Gorda, Florida 33950
Description: ‘Spirit Guides’ take you down the shadowed paths of Charlotte County’s second oldest cemetery as you ‘meet’ local historical characters like Marshal John Bowman, Mary Lula Sandlin, Joel Bean, Virginia Taylor Trabue , Little Georgie Bryant,and more. Learn of the tragedies faced by Katie Sloan and Thelma Johnson or hear the ‘tale’ of one of Punta Gorda’s more flamboyant characters, Ollie Johnson (aka Big Six). Selected characters are personalized and brought to life by volunteers of the Charlotte County Historical Center and local organizations. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this unique walking tour showcasing Charlotte County’s haunting and intriguing past.
