Children's Event: Intro. to Underwater Archaeology Lecture & Activity

Time: 10:00 am til 11:30 am

Location: Bay County Public Library, 898 West 11th Street, Panama City, FL

Description: Archaeologists work in a variety of settings, and underwater is one of the “coolest,” literally and figuratively! Learn about how archaeologists work in this alien environment, the types of sites they study (hint: it’s not just shipwrecks!), the issues and problems facing “submerged cultural resources,” and how underwater archaeologists work to protect the remains of our maritime past!

Also, stay after the presentation for our "Build-a-Boat" activity!

Children under the age of 12 must have parent or guardian supervision at all times.

FPAN is co-hosting this event.
