STEM Shipwreck on a Tarp (Kids)

Time: 11:00 am til 12:00 pm

Location: Englewood Library 3450 North Access Road Englewood, FL 34224

Description: Kids will learn about underwater archaeology and why documenting sites is important to the science of archaeology. Kids will learn how to document (draw) a shipwreck just like an archaeologist! Plus, we’ll talk about an actual shipwreck from Florida and what the artifacts archaeologists find can tell us about a ship!

Prehistoric Snowbird Talk

Description: We discover the prehistory of humans in Florida, and find out just how long folks have been living seasonally in Southwest Florida. This discussion offers an overview of the entire history of humans in Southwest Florida until the Spanish arrived in the 1500s.
