"Cuba & SWFL: A 500 Yr Connection of War & Peace" -pres by Macomber

Description: The Estero Island Historical Society is pleased to announced a January 12 lecture by author Robert N. Macomber at the Fort Myers Beach Public Library.

Mr. Macomber’s talk titled: “Cuba & Southwest Florida: A 500 Year Connection Of War And Peace”, will leave you spellbound from the tales of Spanish conquistadors, the Calusa Empire, British land swaps, Confederate blockade-runners, Cuban mullet fishermen, Cuban rebel gunrunners, aguardiente smugglers, anti-Castro CIA ops, and other motley characters in our coast's history, all tied to Cuba.

Copies of Macomber’s latest books will be available at this event, hosted by the Estero Island Historical Society [EIHS]. The public is invited to attend!
