Description: Since at least 12,000 years ago, Florida has played host to a complex collection of human cultures. From great mound complexes to the most ephemeral of camp sites, humans have left fascinating evidence of unique community structures within Florida’s diverse environments. Learn what archaeologists have uncovered throughout the state that helps them understand several of Florida’s major cultures.
