Public Input:FL’s Statewide Comprehensive Historic Preservation Plan

Description: TALLAHASSEE – Secretary of State Kurt S. Browning and the Florida Department of State’s Division of Historical Resources today announced a series of meetings that will help gather public input on Florida’s Statewide Comprehensive Historic Preservation Plan. Once completed, the preservation plan will provide statewide direction on how to best preserve Florida’s archaeological and historical resources.

Every five years the Division of Historical Resources revises and updates Florida’s Statewide Comprehensive Historic Preservation Plan to meet the National Park Service’s criteria for participation in the federal historic preservation program. The upcoming plan will provide guidelines through 2016.
