Torreya State Park Candlelight Tour

Description: This Saturday, Feb. 2, Torreya State Park is hosting an awesome event, the 24th Annual Candlelight Tour Event from 12 noon-Sunset Eastern Time.
Visitors will enjoy authentic blacksmith demonstrations, civil war camp along with the firing of cannons, live bluegrass with local musicians, candle dipping and other exhibits. Kids will have the opportunity to see fire trucks up close and personal.
The Florida Public Archaeology Network will attend the event to install and unveil new wayside exhibits at the Confederate batteries located at the park. Additionally, archaeologist Brian Mabelitini from the archaeological firm Gray & Pape, Inc. will deliver a lecture on the history and excavation of the batteries at 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Gregory House followed by an expert guided tour of the archaeological site.
