Contributions of Archaeology to Historic Preservation

Description: This is a jointly sponsored lecture by TTHP, FPAN and the State of Florida Division of Historical Resources. It is free and open to the public. Please RSVP by calling 850-488-7334 or email autumntaltrust@comcast.net by Thursday, March 1. SEATING IS LIMITED.

Barbara Hines, FPAN Outreach Coordinator, will provide an insightful overview of the connections between archaeology and Historic Preservation.

June Finnegan, The Grove Education Coordinator and Daniel Seinfeld, Senior Archaeologist, will talk about the history, architecture and archaeology of the Grove.

Jeffry Shanks, Archaeologist at the Southeast Archaeological Center, will discuss the DeSoto site and associated National Historic Landmark
Nomination.

Refreshments will be served at 6pm, and the program will begin promptly at 6:30pm
