Description: Heritage Monitoring Scouts (HMS Florida) is a public engagement program focused on tracking changes to archaeological sites at risk, particularly those impacted by climate change in the form of erosion and sea level rise

During this “HMS Scout meet-up” we will provide an introduction to the Heritage Monitoring Scouts program, discuss the significant threats to coastal archaeological sites, and fill out and submit an HMS Monitoring form.

The event is open to registered Heritage Monitoring Scouts who have attended an HMS workshop and signed the Heritage Monitoring Scout Code of Ethics and Program Agreement, as well as the general public who are interested in becoming a “citizen scientist” and a submitting an HMS Florida Scout application.
Morning of the event, please pull down to the end of the road and park by the boat ramp. thank you!
