Archaeology Talk: Tampa Bay Shipwrecks of the Civil War

Description: The maritime battles of the Civil War employed a greater diversity of ships than any previous sustained naval action. This presentation by FPAN Central Region Director Jeff Moates, illustrates this aspect and highlights a few examples of Civil War-related shipwrecks in the Tampa Bay area.

Bill Dayton: Tales of Old Pasco County

Description: The Historic Hernando Preservation Society is pleased to welcome Bill Dayton as the November meeting guest speaker. Bill is a native of Dade City and member of a family that has practiced law in the community since the 1890's. Bill has always had a fascination with history and archaeology. He is active with the Seminole Wars Foundation in Dade City. Come hear him tell some tales of "Old Pasco County".
