Dade Battlefield Reenactment
Time: 9:00 am til 4:00 pm
Location: Bushnell, Florida
Description: On Saturday January 5, & Sunday January 6, 2013 the Dade Battlefield Society will be hosting a reenactment of one of the first battles of the Second Seminole War. The battle began on December 28,1835, when a column of 107 soldiers led by Major Dade were ambushed by the Seminole warriors in Sumter County, Florida.

From I-75, take exit 314 to S.R. 48 and go East. Go about one mile to County Road 603/Battlefield Parkway and turn right. The park is straight ahead about one mile.
From U.S. 301 go about 1/2 mile west on Seminole Ave/County Road 476 to County Road 603/Battlefield Parkway and turn left. The park is straight ahead.
