CRYSTAL RIVER – Looking for a great way to spend Saturday, August 11, 2012? Grab your camera and come on out to Crystal River Preserve State Park from 10:00 am to noon. The Crystal River Boat Builders (CRBB), the Friends of Crystal River State Parks, Inc, the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN), and Gulf Archaeological Research, Inc. (GARI) are pleased to announce “The Scow Rollover Event.” This event and its potential for mayhem, calamity, havoc and destruction will be held at the Crystal River Preserve State Park on August 11, 2012. The completion of the bottom of the hull of the Scow marks a major milestone in the construction of this boat. Since it was built upside down, it now needs to be rolled over. Come witness our attempt to roll it over using nothing but brawn, brains and pre-industrial technology. Please join us for a morning of entertainment at the Scow Rollover party.
