Defining Moments: A Cuban Exile’s Story

Description: Jose Ramirez will discuss topics in his recently published book, Defining Moments: A Cuban Exile's Story About Discovery and the Search for a Better Future,including his experiences as a 15 year old arriving in the United States via Operation Pedro Pan, and the challenges and defining moments he faced until reunited with his family four years later. Mr. Ramirez returned to Cuba for the first time in the 1990s and has made several return trips since. He will also discuss his observations regarding current daily Cuban life.
