From the earliest days, people have used signs and symbols to recreate the world as they see it or communicate important information. Archaeologists studying ancient and modern art find that different cultural groups made different styles with different meanings. Some groups believe that the spriits so the makers reside in what they've created- meaning that these mysterious works are alive! Stretch your creativity and help us decode ancient art!

Description: "Travel Through Time: Exploring Florida's Past" SPEAKER SERIES celebrating Florida Archaeology Month presents RYAN MURPHY who will share his understanding of "The Hill Cottage MIdden: Evidence of Complex Social Change During the Late Archaic."
