Did you know you can do scientific excavations underwater? Find out what kinds of evidence people of the past left behind under the deep blue seas. Hear about some of the most fascinating time capsules in the world: complete with stories of people moving great distances, cultures growing and changing, and technology evolving in leaps and bound! Then apply your new nautical skills to create your own boat!

Description: Lecture/Book Signing: The Quotable Edison: The Florida Life of Thomas Edison and the Quotable Henry Ford
Collier County Museum will host Michele Albion, award-winning author of The Quotable Edison, The Florida Life of Thomas Edison and The Quotable Henry Ford. Albion will speak about the work and words of Southwest Florida’s most famous winter residents. After the discussion, books will be available for sale and signing.
Albion was curator of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates from 1992 to 1997 and formerly part of the curatorial staff at the United States Holocaust Museum. This program is free and open to the public. Lecture will take place at 2 p.m. in the Collier County Museum’s Lecture Hall. For more information, please call (239) 252-8476.
