Atlatl Workshop

Time: 9:30 am til 3:00 pm

Location: Caloosahatchee Regional Park

Description: This workshop is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Parking is $1/hr or $5 for the day. Two sessions: 9:30-11:30 am and 1-3 pm.

What did prehistoric Floridians use before the invention of the bow and arrow? Come learn about this fascinating piece of prehistoric technology used to hunt everything from ancient woolly mammoths to modern squirrels! A short lecture will explain the origins and mechanics of this dart-throwing device. Next, try your hand during our atlatl demonstration!
