Bonita Springs Historical Society presents Hank Hendry

Description: Local Historian and attorney Hank Hendry will join us to commemorate teh American Civil War which began 151 years ago. Although Florida' s population was small, its residents were passionately Confederate; Florida was the third state to secede from teh Union. Hendry's great-great grandfather, Frencis Hendry, a Florioda cattle rancer and officer in the Confederate Army, led the attack against Fort Myers during the southernmost battle of the Civil War.
