Deadman's Island Kayak (and Walking) Tour
Time: 9:00 am til 12:00 pm
Location: Woodland Park, 2 Highpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL
Description: Learn about the unique history and ecology of Deadman's Island on our newest kayak and walking tour!
Tour participants will meet at 9:00am at Woodland Park in Gulf Breeze (2 Highpoint Dr, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561). We will conduct a short introduction and safety briefing, then launch our watercraft. Once we launch, the tour will stop at Deadman's Island so that we can walk to discover the peninsula's unique natural features and the legacies of human interaction over time!
This event is open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Space is limited to 15 participants, so please e-mail ngrinnan@uwf.edu to reserve your spot. This tour is offered for free, but cash donations at the end of the tour are much appreciated and help us continue to offer other amazing learning opportunities!
