Pensacola Bay Past and Present Kayak Tour

Time: 9:30 am til 11:30 am

Location: FPAN Coordinating Center, 207 E Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Description: Join the Florida Public Archaeology Network and Historic Pensacola as we co-host a kayak tour on Pensacola Bay! The "Pensacola Bay Past and Present" tour will last approximately 2 hours and will feature a 2-mile kayaking route that explores the amazing ecology and history of just one small stretch of beautiful Pensacola Bay.
This event is open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Space is limited to 12 participants, so please e-mail ngrinnan@uwf.edu to reserve your spot. This tour is offered for free, but cash donations at the end of the tour are much appreciated and help us continue to offer other amazing learning opportunities!
Tour participants will meet at 9:30am at the Florida Public Archaeology Network Coordinating Center. We will have a short introduction and safety briefing, then walk next door to Bartram Park to launch our watercraft.

Although we recommend kayaks for this tour, any non-motorized watercraft is welcome (canoes, stand-up paddle boards, etc.). All participants must bring their own watercraft. This tour is recommended for ages 13+; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
