Zoom into Archaeology: Ancient Fermentation

Time: 3:30 pm til 4:30 pm

Location: Online; Central Time

Description: Join us for the next installment of FPAN's "Zoom into Archaeology" series: "Ancient Fermentation: The Archaeology of Beer, Wine, and Fermented Foods" by FPAN Northeast Region Public Archaeologist Emily Jane Murray!

For thousands of year, fermentation has helped people around the world preserve food, create distinct flavors in their cuisines, and craft tasty beverages. Bring along your own fermented food or beverage to this edition of our lecture series to learn about the basics of fermentation, as well as how archaeologists have uncovered clues to these ancient culinary traditions!

This presentation is most appropriate for teens and adults, but is family-friendly.
