Luna the Cat Children's Book: Chapters 9+10

Time: 3:00 pm til 3:30 pm

Location: Online; Central Daylight Time

Description: Join FPAN staff Mike Thomin and Nicole Grinnan as they read their latest children's book: "Luna the Cat!"

This story is about an ordinary cat named Luna who lived a quiet life in Mexico in the 1500s. But, in the year 1559, Luna found himself on an extraordinary journey across a sea that he never expected to be a part of. This journey not only changed Luna more than he ever knew possible...it changed the course of history!

"Luna the Cat" is influenced by the real history and archaeology of Spaniard Don Tristán de Luna's 1559 settlement attempt in Pensacola, Florida. Following the reading, staff will briefly discuss how ongoing research influenced each chapter and will be on hand to answer any questions!

This presentation is most appropriate for children ages 6-12, but all are welcome. Readers can follow along at https://bit.ly/lunathecatbook! RSVP required via the link below.

For a chance to win a signed version of the book, readers can also submit an activity sheet (https://bit.ly/LunatheCatActivity) by September 11, 2020. NOTE: Readers do not have to watch the live series to submit an activity sheet!

NOTE: Zoom requires parental consent for children to use Zo
