Sacred Places Inspiring History: African American Cemeteries

Description: Cemeteries are outdoor museums that reflect the importance of our past to the present and the future. Join us in celebrating Florida Archaeology Month by exploring the significance of Pensacola\'s historic African American cemeteries and by touring some of the most unique aspects of beautiful AME Zion and Magnolia Cemeteries! This event is free and open to the public.

Co-hosted by the UWF Archaeology Institute, this event is also sponsored by the Historic AME Zion Burial Association and the UWF Historic Trust. Additional co-sponsor North Hill Preservation Association will provide light refreshments.
