Cemetery Cleaning: Magnolia and AME Zion (CANCELED; MOVED TO NOV. 9)

Time: 8:00 am til 12:00 pm

Location: Between A and B streets, just north of Cervantes in Pensacola

Description: Join the Archaeology Institute for a clean-up of Magnolia and AME Zion Cemetery, which is located in between A and B streets, just north of Cervantes in Pensacola. The clean-up will consist of manicuring around individual headstones, and debris removal. Please remember that everyone will get dirty. Volunteers need to wear closed-toed shoes. These clean-ups will also be open to the public and other UWF organizations, so feel free to bring your friends! Gloves, equipment, and plenty of water will be provided. Secrets of Santa Rosa: Archaeology in your Backyard

Description: Join FPAN and Arcadia Mill for this wonderful lecture series on local archaeology and history! Talks will be approximately 45 minutes long, with time at the end for questions. Haunt 2 Haunt: History/Archaeology Bicycle Tour

Time: 6:00 pm til 7:00 pm

Location: Hub Stacey's, 312 E Government Street, Pensacola, FL

Description: Meet FPAN, UWF Historic Trust, Pensacola MESS Hall, and Trek Bicycle downtown for a thrilling ride from "haunt 2 haunt" in the heart of Pensacola. Enjoy a fun, easy ride, stopping to enjoy some of our favorite historic haunts in downtown Pensacola!

The ride begins at 6:00pm, starting and ending at Hub Stacey's, and will last about one hour at a leisurely pace. Riders should be ages 13+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult and helmets must be worn for those under 16 years, per Florida law. Head and tail lights should be used, as this ride occurs after dark. Please plan accordingly. The group will stay together for the duration of the ride and be assisted by volunteers for safety.

There is no charge to participate, but this event is limited to 30 riders. Please RSVP via this Facebook event at the link above (coming soon) to reserve your spot!
