Florida Panhandle National Heritage Area Meeting

Time: 3:30 pm til 5:00 pm

Location: Imogene Theater, 6866 Caroline Street, Milton, FL 32570

Description: Join the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) and the Askew Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS) for the fifth meeting regarding the possibility of designating the Florida Panhandle as a National Heritage Area (NHA) and latest updates on the feasibility study. NHAs in the USA are places where historic, cultural, and natural resources combine to form cohesive, nationally important landscapes. Unlike national parks, NHAs are large, lived-in landscapes. A designated NHA receives recurring Federal funding and technical support from the National Park Service.

FPAN is co-hosting this event.
