International Archaeology Day: Lab and Museum Open!

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Description: In celebration of AIA's International Archaeology Day, FPAN Northwest will have it's Destination Archaeology Resource Center Museum and Public Archaeology Lab open to the public. Stop by to chat with an archaeologist, check out our exhibits, or get your hands dirty in our lab!

"Archaeology Works: Underwater Archaeology" Kids STEAM Workshop

Time: 10:30 am til 12:00 pm

Location: West Florida Public Library Main Branch, 239 North Spring Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Description: In honor of International Archaeology Day, join FPAN staff as we explore the fascinating work of underwater archaeology! This 1.5-hour workshop will include a short presentation and two hands-on activities that involve the underwater world, engaging fun, and critical thinking.

This workshop free and open to the public, though is most appropriate for ages 8+. Visit the library calendar above for more information about the event location.

Secrets of Santa Rosa: Archaeology and History in your Backyard

Time: 11:00 am til 12:00 pm

Location: Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site, 5709 Mill Pond Lane, Milton, Florida 32583

Description: Join FPAN and Arcadia Mill for this wonderful lecture series on local archaeology and history! Talks will be approximately 45 minutes long, with time at the end for questions. Afterward, enjoy the beauty of Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site on a guided tour. More information on speakers coming soon.
