Archaeology Lab Volunteer Day

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: FPAN Coordinating Center, 207 East Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Description: The FPAN Archaeology Lab is open to volunteers throughout the year. Volunteers help rough sort artifacts recovered from local archaeological sites. No experience is needed, but all volunteers are given a brief orientation by a professional archaeologist their first day.

Archaeology of the Luna Expedition in Pensacola

Time: 5:30 pm til 7:00 pm

Location: Museum of Commerce, 201 E. Zaragoza Street, Pensacola, FL

Description: Join Experience UWF Downtown, Feb. 1, as UWF archaeologists present “Archaeology of the Luna Expedition in Pensacola.” In a panel-style discussion, key personnel will reveal insight into the most recent Luna discoveries. The presentation will convey the significance these discoveries play in Pensacola’s rich cultural history, as well as that of North American colonization.

Reception: 5:30pm - 6pm
Lecture: 6pm- 7pm
