Description: Tour de Fort is a bicycling tour of the archaeological sites along the Florida National Scenic Trail near Fort Pickens as part of the national campaign Let’s Move Outside! We will visit several archaeological and historic sites. We will meet at the auditorium next to Fort Pickens at 9:30 for a short presentation at 10 and then head out!
Total bike ride is approximately four miles in length.
The tour will visit archaeological sites along the trail ride where we will learn about archaeology, history and ecology. Bring plenty of water, healthy snacks (apples, carrots, nuts, pretzels, dried fruit), sunscreen, sunglasses, your bicycle and helmet.
