"Yo Solo... I Alone" - Presentation

Time: 8:00 pm til 9:30 pm

Location: Saegner Theater, 6 South Joachim Street, Mobile, AL

Description: The Archaeology Museum is proud to collaborate with the Mobile Symphony and the Center for the Living Arts’ Memory Project to bring “Yo Solo… I Alone” to the Saegner Theater. Renowned actor Chaz Mena portrays Bernardo de Gálvez, Governor of Louisiana, who swept across the Gulf Coast, defeating the British at Baton Rouge, Natchez, Mobile, and Pensacola during the American Revolution. Chaz Mena revives the spirit of Chautauqua style education and entertainment, a movement that began in the late nineteenth century. After the performance there will be a panel discussion about this interesting period in history.

The Alabama Humanities Foundation, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, co-sponsors this project.

Tickets range from $5 to $15, plus service fee and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or through the Saenger Theatre Box Office at 250 Conti Street, 251-208-5600.
