Pensacola History & Archaeology Summer Camp

Time: 8:30 am til 12:30 pm

Location: Historica Pensacola Village, Downtown Pensacola, FL

Description: A one-week social studies enrichment camp that will immerse campers in hands on activities in history and archaeology. Campers will visit an archaeology lab, museums, historic sites, and archival collections in downtown Pensacola. Campers will also research, design, create and present their own museum exhibit.

Archaeology Lab Volunteer Day

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: FPAN Coordinating Center, 207 East Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Description: The FPAN Archaeology Lab is open to volunteers throughout the year. Volunteers help rough sort artifacts recovered from local archaeological sites. No experience is needed, but all volunteers are given a brief orientation by a professional archaeologist their first day.

Panhandle Historic Preservation Alliance (PHPA) Quarterly Meeting

Time: 2:00 pm til 3:30 pm

Location: Blountstown, FL

Description: PHPA was formed in April 2006 to bring together community leaders and other interested individuals and organizations who are actively engaged in the collection, preservation, and restoration of historic property and memorabilia from the state of Florida and their respective communities.

Membership is open to all organizations who meet the objective of PHPA. There are no dues assessed at this time.
