Gulf South History & Humanities Conference

Description: The Gulf South History and Humanities Conference is an annual event sponsored by the Gulf South Historical Association, a consortium of Gulf South colleges and universities from the states of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.



The Twenty-Ninth Annual Gulf South History and Humanities Conference, hosted by the University of West Florida, welcomes all researchers and scholars to propose papers, panels, roundtables, performances, and workshops, exploring all aspects of the history and cultures of the Gulf South and Caribbean Basin.

Gallery Night

Time: 5:00 pm til 9:00 pm

Location: Destination Archaeology Resource Center

Description: Artist and historian Dave Edwards will join us for Gallery Night. Mr. Edwards brings the past back to life with his realistic paintings of historic scenes.

Throughout the night, visitors will have an opportunity to win prizes by correctly matching his art to the correct historic time period.
