History & Archaeology Summer Camp

Time: 8:30 am til 12:30 pm

Location: Downtown Pensacola, FL

Description: Learn Pensacola's history from "the ground up"! Campers will gain knowledge of the science of archaeology by exploring Pensacola history. Because of Pensacolas location and far-reaching past, it is an excellent city to learn about skills necessary for the practice of archaeology and history. Pensacola history will be the foundation to learn how archaeologists and historians work together in order to understand the past.

Historical & Archaeological Resources Training (HART)

Time: 10:00 am til 3:00 pm

Location: Fort Walton Beach Library, 185 Miracle Strip Pkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL

Description: Join us for an interesting and informative seminar to learn about archaeological and historical resources, how best to manage these resources, and methods for promoting the resources for the benefit of your county, city, or town.

This training seminar is designed for county and municipal governmental administrators, land managers, and planners.

The HART seminar is free but space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
