FL Panhandle Heritage Area Public Meeting

Time: 2:00 pm til 4:00 pm

Location: pin 139 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548

Description: Join the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) and the Askew Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS) for the second meeting regarding the possibility of designating the Florida Panhandle as a National Heritage Area (NHA) and initiating a feasibility study. NHAs in the USA are places where historic,
cultural, and natural resources combine to form cohesive, nationally important landscapes. Unlike national parks, NHAs are large, lived-in landscapes. A designated NHA receives recurring Federal funding and technical support from the National Park Service.

**** Please note that this meeting takes place in Fort Walton, in the Central Time Zone****
