HMS Florida Training

Time: 1:00 pm til 4:00 pm

Location: Apalachicola National Esturarine Research Reserve, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint

Description: Heritage Monitoring Scouts (HMS Florida) is a public engagement program focused on tracking changes to archaeological sites at risk, particularly those impacted by climate change in the form of erosion and sea level rise. The public is encouraged to apply to the program and will receive monthly updates on training and resources available for HMS Florida participants statewide. To attend the HMS Training on June 6th to learn more about this program and to recieve hands on training on becoming a Monitoring Scout please email BarbaraAClark@uwf.edu. This training is free and is open to all those interested in becoming monitors (no prior experience necessary).
