T.O.U.R. Guide: Goodwood Museum and Gardens

Description: Tallahassee’s beautiful and historic Goodwood estate is open to the public with FREE admission on Nov. 19 as part of the 2016-17 T.O.U.R. Guide program enhancing appreciation of the community’s key sites and attractions.
The free admission day at Goodwood features:

Tours of the Main House Museum: The exquisitely appointed Main House, displayed as it appeared around World War I, including original furniture and garments, is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also stroll to the pool deck and through the gardens.
“Blended Lives” activities: John G. Riley House, Florida Historic Capitol Museum, the Florida Public Archaeology Network and Goodwood will have activity tents related to their ongoing Blended Lives educational program. This being the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act in the United States, the theme is Preserving Our Legacy. Activities will emphasize why and how to preserve special places. The activities are open to all children but will target elementary students.
Habitat for Humanity Festival of Trees: On Nov. 18 and 19, Big Bend Habitat for Humanity presents beautiful artificial trees and wreaths for purchase and family-friend
