GOPHR Workshop for Local Governments

Description: This series of workshop modules is designed to inform local governments and heritage-based organizations about opportunities and complications associated with preserving and itilizing archaeological and historical sites. Though many compliment one another, each module stands alone; participants can choose whichever subjects are most relevant to them. This series is not the final answer, but provides a general understanding of what these subjects entail and the tools to pursue them further. At this particular workshop we will touch on Archaeology 101, Funding and Support, Heritage Tourism, Federal and State Preservation Laws.
