Description: Barbara Clark will be speaking on Hernando DeSoto and his conquests in Florida, including the 1539-1540 Winter Encampment in Tallahassee. She will discuss the entire campaign, but focus on DeSoto's time in Florida and include the latest research on the artifacts originally recovered during the 1987 excavation of the winter encampment site.
