St Marks Stone Crab Festival and International Archaeology Day

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park, St. Marks

Description: Join us in St. Marks on October 26th for the St. Marks Stone crab Ffestival AND International Archaeology Day at San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park in celebration of 500 years of Florida history.The Stone Crab festival is to be held from 10am to 6pm and a tram will run between the festival and San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park from 10am to 4pm. Kids' activities at International Archaeology Day will include Native American pottery making and flint knapping, faunal (animal bone) identification, net throwing, and spear throwing. Speakers will include Dr. Joe Knetsch, Tallahasee-based historian, Stephen Wise, Archaeologist from SEAC and others. Living historians and weapon demonstrations, informational booths and displays and more will also be available throughout the day.
