Munree Cemetery Project Part II

Time: 8:30 am til 4:30 pm

Location: Munree Cemetery, Edenfield Road, Tallahassee

Description: Starting early in the morning FPAN, SEAC and Munree Cemetery Foundation, Inc. will be conducting a ground penetrating radar survey of the historic Munree Cemetery. Volunteers will be also conducting maintenance of burial plots, including monument cleaning. Demonstrations of proper monument cleaning and information about how to properly maintain and protect historic cemeteries will be available. Archaeologists will be on hand to answer questions and the public is welcome to stop by and visit.

Munree Cemetery is located off of Edenfield Road. Take U.S. 90 east past Dempsey Mayo Road, turn left at the light at Edenfield Road. The public is welcome to come and watch. The volunteers and archaeologists will do their best to answer questions and explain how this process works. Please contact Barbara Hines at bhines@uwf.edu or 850-877-2206 with any questions.
