History Bike Gainesville: Explore Your City, NW 6th St Corridor

Time: 4:00 pm til 6:00 pm

Location: The Auk Market, 2031 NW 6th St, Gainesville

Description: HBG is coming to a new hood for this ride...well new-old hood. The neighborhoods along and around NW 6th St, between NW 23rd Ave and University Avenue, are anything but new. We will visit some historic landmarks, sites of lost industry, and sites of continued controversy, as we ride the streets and sidewalks of this section of Northwest Gainesville. Let's Explore Our City!

Meet in the parking lot of AUK Market (2031 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL 32609) The ride begins promptly at 4:00 PM but check-in starts at 3:30 PM.
Tour will last about 2 hours and end back at Auk Market/Curia/Dad's Bar. Let's be safe! Helmets and personal water strongly recommended! We will be finishing the ride around dusk so bring lights!
As we might be enjoying some Dad's Bar cold beers before the ride, I would suggest riding to the location. If it looks like rain, we will cancel and reschedule!

History Bike Gainesville is a guided bicycle tour in and around Gainesville. We stop at selected historic and prehistoric sites for interpretation and discussion!
