Moon over the Mounds at the Crystal River Archaeological State Park

Time: 8:00 pm til 9:30 pm

Location: Crystal River Archaeological State Park, 3400 N. Museum Point Crystal River, FL 34428

Description: The Friends of the Crystal River State Parks, Inc., in partnership with the Florida Park Service, Florida Public Archaeology Network and Gulf Archaeology Research Institute will kick off the fall season with the popular Moon over the Mounds guided evening walking tour.

Travel back in time to experience the park under the full moon and catch a glimpse of what life was like living on the Crystal River from 1000 BC to AD 1000. The event is free but donations are welcome. This fund-raising event is sponsored by the Friends of Crystal River State Parks. Recommended donations of $5.00 per person will be applied to sustaining future interpretive programming in the park.

The museum building opens at 7:30 p.m. tours will begin at 8 p.m. and end at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Reservations are not required but appreciated for larger groups.
