Reconstruction Era event at Dudley Farm Historic State Park

Time: 9:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: Dudley Farm Historic State Park, 18730 W. Newberry Road Newberry, FL 32669

Description: Dudley Farm Historic State Park will host its annual Reconstruction Era event on February 24th and 25th, 2017. The Reconstruction Era Event is set during some of the hardest economic and socially difficult years in Florida following the War Between the States (the American Civil War). Living Historians bring to life the trials and troubles faced by people during those times. The year is 1868 and people do not dress, speak or think the same way we do now. Come experience what life was like for a Cow Hunter, a Temperance Marcher, a former slave turned soldier or just the common person trying to stay alive. Step back in time, see how life was. Be forewarned, they are not from our time, they might wonder what is that Iphone in your hand.

Regular park entrance fee of $5.00 per car. Honor box, cash only.
