Eco-Archaeo Kayak Tour

Time: 7:30 am til 12:00 pm

Location: Yankeetown Boat Ramp,on the corner of 60th Street & Riverside Drive, Yankeetown, Florida

Description: Please join Florida Public Archaeology Network archaeologists and Aquatic Preserve biologists as we paddle through the tidal creeks of the Withlacoochee River in Yankeetown, Florida and explore Florida's native wildlife and discuss the history and culture of this region.

NOTE: This is a ONE WAY Trip. Paddlers will unload and launch from the Yankeetown Boat Ramp (on the corner of 60th Street & Riverside Drive, Yankeetown, Florida). Vehicles will need to be moved to the Public Boat Ramp at the end of Follow That Dream Parkway (S.R. 40). A shuttle will be provided to transport paddlers back to the launch location.

Don't have a kayak but still want to join in? We have a limited number of rental kayaks available! Please RSVP to reserve one.

Dudley Kids Day - Spiders & Webs Dudley Farm Historic State Park

Time: 10:00 am til 2:00 pm

Location: Dudley Farm Historic State Park, 18730 W. Newberry Road Newberry, FL 32669

Description: Join us at the farm on the second Saturday of the month for our Dudley Kids Day. Children and adults alike, ages 5 to 65, can join in the fun! There are hands on demonstrations, crafts, old fashioned games and even some education. Learn about history, and a farming way of life.

Regular park entrance fee of $5.00 per car. Honor box, cash only.
