Archaeology Works Expo!

Location: Crystal River Archaeological State Park
Description: Join Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) at an Archaeology Works Expo, September 16th from 6 – 8pm before Moon Over The Mounds season opening! Kids and adults attending will have the chance to participate in lots of hands-on activities from all of FPAN’s Archaeology Works workshops on topics like: prehistoric pottery, hunting technology, shell tools, ancient diets, and much more! Children and adults will experience archaeology in various ways, ranging from the methods archaeologists use to learn about the past to recreating some of the technologies of Crystal River’s earliest inhabitants. Come early for the Expo and stick around for the Moon over the Mounds tour when the sun goes down.
