Science Cafes by the Florida Museum of Natural History

Time: 6:30 pm til 7:45 pm

Location: Blue Gill Quality Foods, 1310 SW 13th Street, Gainesville

Description: Columbus and Cannibals in the Land of Cotton, with William F. Keegan, Ph.D., Curator in Anthropology, Florida Museum
Program description: Beginning in October 1492, two very different worlds collided, one of Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus and that of the Native Americans. We have only the testimony of Columbus, who makes it clear he was both amazed and bewildered at this new world. What he saw and recorded created the building blocks of American history.
Registration begins Feb. 22, 2016
