Time: 9:00 am til 5:00 pm

Location: Sarasota, Florida

Description: Florida Anthropological Society Annual Meeting
The Many Faces of Florida, Past and Present
Sarasota, Florida
May 28-31, 2015Time Sifters Archaeology Society is pleased to be hosting the 67th Annual Meeting of the Florida Anthropological Society. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regecy Sarasota.

Sarasota is a tourist mecca with one of the best beaches in the world; it is a place for everybody's enjoyment with world class botanical gardens, marine research center/aquarium, and art museum; a great theater selection, fishing, golf, an out-standing park system, and a very vibrant historic downtown with a huge selection of cafes and restaurants. The past environs were rich with aboriginal culture; the shoreline of the bay was lined with mounds and middens. The abundance of the marine environment later supported Cuban fishing ranchos, and early settlers were attracted by the area's natural beauty.

We have a great weekend planned that will celebrate the past and the present of this great community and, of course, research from all over the state. We hope you will join us.
