You Can DIg It! Dig Into Geology and Study the Earth at Your Feet!

Location: Florida Museum of Natural History

Description: Dig into geology and discover the Earth at your feet! Enjoy hands-on activities and watch demonstrations of volcanic eruptions. Explore the Museum and check out displays and activities on geology, fossils, gems, minerals and much more from Florida and around the world!
A free, fun event for all ages!
This family-friendly event is presented by the University of Florida Department of Geological Sciences and the Florida Museum in collaboration with the Gainesville Gem and Mineral Society and additional community sponsors.

Homosassa Heritage Day

Time: 10:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park

Description: Learn about Homosassa's history and share stories from the early days of the Homosassa Springs Attraction at the park's annual Homosassa Heritage Day. Guest speakers will share interesting programs on Florida and Homosassa history. Exhibits of historic photographs and memorabilia will be on display.
