Artifact Identification Day at Chinsegut Hill, Brooksville, Florida

Time: 10:00 am til 2:00 pm

Location: Chinsegut Hill, 22495 Chinsegut Hill Road (off US-41 / Snow Memorial Highway), Brooksville

Description: Come to Chinsegut Hill in Brooksville next Saturday and bring your arrowheads, pottery and other interesting historical artifacts for an examination and identification by experts. Tables will be on hand for displays but there will not be any buying or selling activities. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

The Chinsegut Hill Manor House is currently under restoration and many artifacts are being found on site. Mr. Gary Ellis, a representative with the Gulf Archeology Research Institute, will be giving a special presentation at 11:00 am about these treasures that are being found in the process at Chinsegut Hill.

Chinsegut Hill is one of Hernando County's historical gems and it is exciting to see that the manor house is being restored to its former glory and the grounds being opened to the public for educational programs.
