Pit Fire Your Pottery at Crystal River Archaeological State Park

Description: Marty Haythorn of Ancient Hands will be visiting from Georgia to demonstrate how prehistoric people completed the pottery making process with the pit firing technique.rnrnhttp://www.ancienthands.com/artists.htmlrnrnDid you attend a Florida Public Archaeology Pottery workshop and make a pot during February or March? Today is the day you will bring your pot to Crystal River Archaeological State park to have it pit fired.rnrnYou are welcome to attend this event just to watch Marty\'s demonstration or to bring your pot to be pit fired.

SEMINOLE WARS FOUNDATION SPRING MEETING & FIELD TRIPS

Seminole Heritage at the Floral City Heritage Museum exhibit, and
then at Fort Cooper State Park. Please learn more about the Seminole
Wars Foundation and their mission to preserve and protect Seminole
War sites and teach about that time to our residents.

Boat Bash @ Crystal Rive Preserve State Park

Description: Come join the Crystal River Boat Builders for a celebration of small craft, nautical heritage, environmental exhibits, and fun on the waters of the Nature Coast!
@ 7pm - Brendan Burke, author of Shrimp Boat City, will be speaking at CRPSP about Florida maritime and commercial fishing history! Check it out!
