National Archaeology Day/Crystal River Refuge Aprreciation Day

Time: 9:00 am til 4:00 pm

Location: Three Sisters Springs

Description: Refuge Day will take place at the Three Sisters Springs Property again this year. Pick up a free shuttle at the King's Bay Plaza, 324 SE US Hwy 19, Crystal River. Admission is FREE, food and drink are available for purchase. Local musicians will be playing folk music and food and refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Crystal River NWR. The event will host wildlife show/exhibits, a chance for kids to learn how to resuce manatees during a mock rescue, and musical garden and an endangered species drum parade. Children activities include a marine tide pool touch tank, a USGS manatee matching game, a giant manatee puzzle, build your own bird kite and other wildlife identification activities. Representatives from a variety of non-profit organizations and local and state outdoor agencies will be on hand to help promote Citrus County's bountiful natural resources.
